Kollectiff Announces Ongoing Partnership With Moss to Offset Carbon Emissions on NFT Campaigns

Kollectiff, the leading web3 venture studio, announces partnership with Moss, the leading environmental platform in the world

Kollectiff, the leading web3 venture studio, announces partnership with Moss, the leading environmental platform in the world that revolutionizes climate change combat efforts by tokenizing carbon credits.

“Being conscious of the environmental impact of NFTs is a factor that is important to us as a company, which is why we are excited to be partners with Moss, especially since the market trend is currently Ethereum,” says Rupert Runewitsch, CGO at Kollectiff. “We are looking forward to debuting future environmentally friendly campaigns with Moss.”

Kollectiff’s debut project, The Wombats NFT fan experience drop, is Carbon Negative through a partnership with Moss, one of the largest environmental organizations in the world providing the highest quality Carbon Credits on the blockchain. Each NFT holder will receive an AirDrop of an MCO2 token, which can offset 1 ton of CO2 from the atmosphere by burning it on the Moss platform. This project will offset its CO2 footprint 21 times over.

“Kollectiff’s and the Wombats partnership with Moss represents more than an isolated action. It helps to spread the word that carbon offsets can be a part of any type of industry. MCO2 makes carbon credits accessible so that companies and individuals can offset their carbon footprint and help to fight the climate crisis,” says Luis Adaime, founder and CEO of Moss.

Moss operates in the voluntary carbon credit market, observing certification standards and best market practices. The Carbon credits from MOSS are certificates issued by an environmental project or company that has reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. By convention, 1 ton of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) corresponds to 1 carbon credit.

Moss offers Moss Carbon Credit (MCO2), an Ethereum token for carbon credits. MCO2 tickets can be bought and sold on major cryptocurrency exchanges like Coinbase, Gemini, or Uniswap. When someone purchases the MCO2 Token, they support projects to preserve the Amazon, sustainable management, conservation of local biodiversity and capture excess carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Burning one MCO2 Token on the Moss Carbon Credit platform is equivalent to offsetting one ton of CO2 footprint, which is made possible by purchasing and protecting land in the Amazon rainforest.
